Ms. Kalpani Kumari from National Institute of Fundamental studies has been awarded the prestigious Young Scientist award in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine. The occasion was held as an online event due to prevailing pandemic situation, on 28-29th August 2021. This distinction is awarded by VD Good foundation, a technology factory aimed at “finding the New Innovations to make life easier in all aspects”.

Kalpani is currently working as a research assistant in Condensed matter physics and solid state chemistry research project at NIFS. She obtained her BSc (Hons) degree from University of Peradeniya, and her MPhil from Postgraduate institute of Science. We congratulate Ms Kalpani on her achievement, and wish her all the best in her future career as well.
