R and RStudio Workshop for Researchers
The computer science, Mathematics and Statistics project of NIFS, and the Young Scientists Association (YSA) collaboratively organized a workshop for the Researchers under the guidance of Prof. Rohan Weerasooriya on "R Programming and RStudio(Posit) for Researchers", on 5th July 2023.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Pushpakanthie Wijekoon, a Retired Senior Professor in Statistics at the University of Peradeniya, and Adjunct Professor of NIFS. 35 Researchers were trained on installing and configuring R and RStudio(Posit), installing Packages, working with datasets and data objects, and visualizing Univariate, Bivariate and Multivariate graphs.
The participants were awarded an e-certificate for completing the training.
