Advanced Raman Spectroscopy of Carbon Nanomaterials

Professor Masamichi Yoshimura, Adjunct Professor of the National Institute of Fundamental Studies and the group leader of the surface science laboratory, at Toyota Technological Institute Nagoya Japan, delivered a special invited lecture on "Advanced Raman Spectroscopy of Carbon Nanomaterials" on 8th August 2023 at the Prof. Cyril Ponnamperuma Auditorium. Professor Yoshimura provided a comprehensive overview of Raman spectroscopy, a powerful technique for the structural analysis of carbon materials, including graphite and carbon nanotubes. He also explored tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, a cutting-edge method that pushes beyond the diffraction limit of light. He opened up valuable insights into the latest advancements in Raman spectroscopy and its applications in the field of carbon nanomaterials.
