Hands-on Workshop on Statistical Data Analysis
The Science Education and Dissemination Unit of the NIFS under the guidance of Prof. Rohan Weerasooriya, organized a workshop on "R Programming and RStudio (Posit) for Researchers, on 26th September 2025.
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Pushpakanthie Wijekoon, Emeritus Professor in Statistics at the University of Peradeniya, and Adjunct Professor of NIFS. Forty Researchers were trained on installing and configuring R and RStudio (Posit), installing Packages, working with datasets and data objects, and visualizing Univariate, Bivariate and Multivariate graphs.
The participants were awarded an e-certificate for completing the training.
