Awareness Session on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Held at NIFS
The Kandy Chapter of the Sri Lankan Society for Microbiology (SSM) conducted an awareness and knowledge-sharing session on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Kandy, on 17 June 2026. The session highlighted the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance, the importance of responsible antimicrobial use, and the role of the One Health approach in addressing this global public health challenge. The programme provided participants with valuable insights into current AMR issues and encouraged greater collaboration within the scientific community.
