49th School Science Programme (SSP)

The School Science Programme (SSP) is an annual event designed to inspire and nurture the brightest young minds from across the country. Through this initiative, we aim to create a platform that fosters intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Participants are immersed in a stimulating environment that ignites their imagination and cultivates a sense of wonder and excitement about the possibilities of science and innovation.

First launched in 1987, the SSP has become a basis of educational excellence, attracting students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements. Over the years, the programme has expanded its reach and impact. To date, a remarkable 3,868 students who excelled in the GCE (Ordinary Level) examination have participated in this transformative experience.

The most recent SSP, the 49th in its proud history, was held from November 18 to 20, 2025. Organized in parallel with the National Science Week 2025, the programme was partially sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology. This year’s SSP brought together young talents from various districts, offering them an unparalleled opportunity to engage with thought-provoking scientific content and interact with peers who share their passion for learning and discovery.
