Philosophy and Social Sciences

This was an active division from the inception of the NIFS with research projects on Archaeology and the Social Sciences, which is mandated in our Act. We now intend to revive this Division by addressing issues on the Philosophy and History of Science, Ancient local technologies, and also the ethical implications of science, which science itself is incapable of addressing. The NIFS would be calling for applications to expand our research into areas traditionally not associated with the ‘hard sciences’, but nevertheless and important domain of the knowledge base in society.
