Ms. Rashindrie Perera is a Machine Learning Scientist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia, and an Academic Tutor at the University of Melbourne. She is also a final-year Ph.D. candidate in the AI, Optimization and Pattern Recognition Group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and IT, University of Melbourne. She holds a B.Sc. (First class Honours) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Faculty of Engineering, Sri Lanka. Her research interests include deep learning, computer vision, and bioinformatics. In her Ph.D. research, she focuses on developing neural networks that can robustly learn with limited data and annotations, specifically focusing on applications in the medical image and kinematics domains.
