Nethmini Senevirathne is a Research Assistant within the Nutritional Biochemistry research project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), where she is currently pursuing her PhD. She earned her B.Sc. degree in Food Science and Technology from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Peradeniya, followed by an M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from the Faculty of Science at the University of Colombo.

Nethmini joined NIFS in 2026, and her research interests encompass the fields of food biochemistry, nutrition, molecular biology, and microbiology.
