Research Assistant - Microbial Biotechnology
Sidath Ekanayake is currently working as a Research Assistant at the NIFS. He received his B.Sc. in Export Agriculture from the Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka in 2020 and joined NIFS in the same year as an undergraduate researcher. Also, he worked as a volunteer researcher and research assistant at the Ministry biofertilizer project. He is pursuing a master's in Natural Resources Management at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, Peradeniya. His research focuses on Environmental valuation and impact assessment. His research interests include Soil carbon sequestration, Mitigation of climate change, Environmental Conservation and Management, Natural Resources, and Environmental Economics. He was a former co-chair of the Young Scientists' Association (YSA) and currently working as an active member of the YSA.
