Sangeerththana Kiristy Anton is currently working as a research assistant with the microbiology and soil ecosystem project at the National institute of fundamental studies (NIFS). She obtained her B.Sc.(Hons) degree in botany from the South Eastern university of Sri Lanka in 2024. Previously she worked as a Temporary Assistant Lecturer at the same university from 2024-2025. Currently she is pursuing a M.Phil degree at the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Her research interests include microalgae, sample collection and Isolation of Microalgae, green synthesis of nanoparticles, cosmeceutical application, mass culturing, morphological identification and culture maintenance.
