Dumindu Ariyarathne
Research Assistant - Microbial Biotechnology
Dumindu Ariyarathne is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Microbial Biotechnology Research Programme of National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). He has completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Agriculture, specializing in Biotechnology from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. His academic and research interests span environmental Science, agricultural Science, industrial biotechnology, and analytical chemistry, with a strong focus on applying biotechnological approaches to address real-world challenges. His current work at MBRP focuses on developing and applying innovative biotechnological strategies to remediate environmental pollutants, with the broader goal of mitigating their adverse effects on human health and ensuring sustainable, toxic-free food systems.
