Field Workshop
The Young Scientists’ Association (YSA) of the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) successfully organized a Field Workshop on 12th November 2025 at the Royal Botanic Garden, Peradeniya. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Himesh Jayasinghe, who served as the Resource Person and generously shared his expertise through interactive discussions and hands-on field observations.
A total of 30 enthusiastic participants took part in the program, actively engaging in the activities and discussions throughout the session. The natural setting of the Botanic Garden provided an ideal environment for learning, encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation of field-based research.
Overall, the workshop offered a valuable learning experience and created meaningful connections among young researchers, reflecting YSA’s commitment to promoting practical scientific learning and engagement beyond the laboratory.
