Handing over the repaired ventilators to the Teaching Hospital Peradeniya and introducing the other COVID- 19 related projects were held at the Cyril Ponnamperuma Auditorium on the 19th of June 2020. Director of National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Prof. Saman Seneweera, handed over the ventilators to Dr. Arjuna Thilakarathne, Central Province Director of Health services and the Director of Teaching Hospital Peradeniya and Prof. Vasanthi Pinto, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. Prof. Kithsiri Liyanage also joined with this occasion representing the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. The Director NIFS gave away the Letters of appreciation to the scientists, research assistants and technical staff who participated in COVID-19 research projects.
