Pre-conference Webinar series

In accordance with the YSCMR 2025 Conference, the Young Scientists’ Association (YSA) successfully organized a series of three pre-conference webinars with the objective of promoting early academic engagement and knowledge exchange among young researchers and scholars on 21st August, 9th October, and 6th November 2025, with 250+ participants.

The webinar series featured three insightful sessions delivered by distinguished resource persons. The first webinar was conducted by Prof. Nadeesh M. Adassooriya, Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, who provided valuable perspectives on "Mastering Research Presentation Skills: Practical Strategies to Level Up Your Skills". The second session was led by Dr. Gayan Bowatte, focusing on "Cite it Right: Referencing for Researchers” and encouraging active discussion among participants. The third webinar was delivered by Prof. Rupika S Rajakaruna, offering important insights into “A postgraduate qualification is far more than just a piece of paper” aligned with the core themes of YSCMR 2025.

The series attracted enthusiastic participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and academics from diverse disciplines. The interactive nature of the sessions, combined with the expertise of the resource persons, significantly enriched the learning experience and contributed to the overall success of the pre-conference webinar series.

The YSA extends its sincere appreciation to all the resource persons for generously sharing their expertise, as well as to all participants and members of the organizing committee for their active involvement and support. This webinar series served as an important step in building momentum toward YSCMR 2025, strengthening academic collaboration, and fostering a vibrant research culture among young scientists.
