Thakshila Herath
Thakshila Herath is a Research Assistant in the Evolution, Ecology & Biodiversity project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Sri Lanka, where she is also reading for her M.Phil. degree. She earned her B.Sc. Special Degree in Applied Biology with a specialization in Biodiversity Conservation from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, in 2023, and joined NIFS the same year. Her research integrates taxonomy, phylogenetics, and historical biogeography to explore evolutionary patterns and diversification processes in jumping spiders (Family: Salticidae).
