Isuri Rathnayaka is currently a Technical Officer attached to the Nutritional Biochemistry project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). She received her Higher National Diploma (NVQ 6) in Agricultural Production Technology from the Sri Lanka School of Agriculture, Kundasale in 2016 and worked as a Research Assistant (Contract basis) at the Horticultural Crop Research and Development Institute, Gannoruwa, Peradeniya before she joined NIFS in 2017. She was also involved in testing plant samples for viral diseases using ELISA and molecular techniques and provided advisory services to solve the field problems of horticultural crops. She completed a Bachelor of Industrial Studies (Honors) - Agriculture at the Open University of Sri Lanka. At present Isuri is reading for her M.Sc. in Crop Science at the University of Peradeniya.
