Chanuka Ilangarathne is currently a Research Assistant in the Food Chemistry project, reading for his M.phil. Degree, at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). He obtained his BIS Honours Degree in Agriculture from The Open University of Sri Lanka in 2024 and joined with NIFS in 2025. His current research focuses on Chemistry and Bioactivity Studies of beans of Theobroma cacao L. His research interests include the food chemistry, food biochemistry and food technology.
