Bhagya M. Premarathne is currently serving as a Research Assistant of the Plant Taxonomy and Conservation project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Sri Lanka. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Natural Sciences from the Open University of Sri Lanka in 2022. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Mycology at the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Her research interest is Taxonomy and Phylogeny of Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms.
