Dr Gayan Bowatte is an Environmental Epidemiologist interested in exploring associations between environmental exposures and human health. He obtained his PhD in 2016 from the University of Melbourne, Australia. After his PhD he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow funded by Center for Energy and Health Research, Australia. To date he has published more than 55 peer reviewed journal articles including the top ranked journals in the field. He is affiliated to University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka; University of Melbourne, Australia; National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka; and Centre for Air pollution, Energy and Health Research, Australia.
His current research in the fields of transgenerational effects of health determinants, air pollution monitoring and modelling using novel small sensor technology.
